Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your use of Uptime Checker ("the service"), an uptime-monitoring service operated from the Cloudflare edge. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Uptime Checker monitors the endpoints you configure by probing them from Cloudflare's network on the interval your plan allows, records check history, and sends alert emails when a monitored site is detected down or recovers. Monitoring is provided "as is" and does not guarantee that every outage is detected, nor that alerts are delivered instantly.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18, or have parental consent, to use the service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to: probe or monitor systems you do not have authorization to test; abuse the platform's rate limits or resources; interfere with other customers' monitoring; or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Plans, billing, and grants
- Free plans include a limited number of monitored sites and a slower default check interval. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew until cancelled.
- Plans may be changed or a plan granted by the platform operator, with or without payment, at our discretion. A granted plan remains in effect until revoked.
- If payment fails repeatedly, the account may be downgraded to the free plan and over-quota endpoints paused automatically.
- Prices are stated on the pricing page and may change; changes apply to future billing periods.
5. Acceptable monitoring targets
You may only monitor endpoints you own or are otherwise authorized to probe. You are responsible for ensuring your monitoring activity complies with the target's terms and applicable law.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that monitoring is uninterrupted, error-free, or that alerts are always delivered. Uptime monitoring is a tool, not a guarantee of availability.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or relating to the service shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data, or for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, or for conduct that threatens the security or stability of the service. On termination, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
